It’s at times like this you need to be good at prioritising…what to take, what to leave behind?
After much tugging at zips I managed to squeeze all that I want to take into my rucksack and all my gadgets into my hand luggage…
I also managed to squeeze in some “nice to haves” like snorkel and mask…even if it was at the expense of another pair of shoes. As I said, it’s all about priorities!
There is just one month to go before we start our 3 month journey to the other side of the world…. ONE MONTH!!! I’m starting to wonder if we have forgotten anything in our preparation. We almost certainly have but that’s part of the joy of travelling right??
After much deliberation and changing of minds we finally settled on an itinerary and booked the flights for the “big one”. Most of it is non-refundable so we are committed. I had a very brief discussion with the boss at work before paying. He said “go for it” and was, I think, a bit jealous – he is a guy my age and probably sees the “mid-life crises” logic of it all.
